We mill the lumber ourselves at our Hobbit Sawmill on our family farm in Middleboro, Massachusetts. We use 1″ thick planks for walls and ceilings. Our ramps are made of maple 2′ hardwood for durability. The flooring is 2″ thick and secured by 4″ Timber Lok screws, ensuring a stronger, longer-lasting structure than nails could provide — a $300 value over the cost of nails. The roof is made with 30-year Architect Asphalt products, and we only use the best materials. This building is heavy, rugged, and built to withstand the elements, perfect for housing horses, motorcycles, or sports cars. While the wind is no match for this building, roofing shingles may blow off in a hurricane. We use a top-quality 10-year stain, with no less than three coats on every side to ensure durability.
